HESI A2 Exam Dates

COVID-19 Update: April 14, 2020

Due to the closure of all TCC campuses effective March 20, 2020, on-campus HESI A2 exams are on hold until further notice.

HESI A2 exams are currently being offered online. You must have a TCC Colleague ID number and intend on applying to a TCC nursing or health sciences program.

Register for an Online HESI A2 Exam

To register for an online HESI A2 exam,

  1. Email TR.TestingServices@tccd.edu and ask for a HESI A2 Exam Request form.
  2. Complete and submit your form.
  3. Once your information has been reviewed, you'll receive a registration link and instructions.

You'll need to create a ProctorU account to register if you don't already have one.

Refunds for March 25 & March 27 Exams

If you were signed up to take the HESI A2 admissions exam at TCC on March 25 or March 27, 2020, you will receive a refund for your exam from Elsevier. Refunds normally take 4-6 weeks to process but may be delayed due to the overwhelming demand. The refund will be processed back to the credit or debit card used for payment. Updates will be sent to the email used to register for the HESI A2 exam, so please check it regularly.

Extended Application Deadline

The application deadline for fall admission to the AD Nursing program has been extended to May 10, 2020 at 5 p.m. The fast track summer admission deadline is April 19, 2020. Learn more on the How to Apply for Nursing page.

The application deadline for fall admission to many health science programs may also be extended. Updates are available on the individual program webpages.

The HESI A2 exam is offered once a week throughout the year at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays. In March and August, it is offered twice a week at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Testing is not offered on holidays (such as Spring Break) or during peak registration periods.

Follow our instructions to register for the HESI A2. You will need to know the payment ID (below) for your chosen test date.

If the dates below are full or you are not located in the DFW area, you may take the exam at a Prometric Testing Center when they reopen. Prometric Testing Centers are currently closed through April 15, 2020.

2020 Dates

All exams begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. If you arrive after the test session begins, you will not be allowed to test and you will not be refunded.

Do not schedule more than one exam date within a 60-day period. You may only test once every 60 days.

If you schedule a second exam date before 60 days has passed, your exam registration will be canceled and you will forfeit a portion of your test fee.
