How do I apply for admission?

How do I apply for international student admission (study on an F-1 visa)?
Our steps to apply for international student admission are available online.

How do I apply to attend TCC using my veteran benefits?
Before you apply to TCC, make sure you apply for your veteran educational benefits.
Once you've applied, follow our steps for military veteran admission to TCC.
Do I need to submit a high school transcript or proof of high school equivalency certificate when I apply?
With the exception of those seeking admission as an F-1 student, you do not need to submit a high school transcript to be admitted to TCC.
You may, however, need to submit your transcript or score report for the following reasons:
- Class placement; an advisor can tell you if this is needed.
- If you're a first-time-in-college (FTIC) student receiving financial aid; you will need to submit a final official high school transcript before any financial aid is disbursed.
We highly recommend submitting transcripts electronically at this time.
How do I submit my SAT/ACT/AP scores?
These scores are not required for admissions.
However, if your scores exempt you from the TSI Assessment, you will need to submit your official scores by logging in to your College Board or ACT account to have the scores sent to TCC.
After I apply, what should I do next?
Watch for emails from us.
First, our admissions office will email you at the email address you used on your application for admission.
Then, we'll provide you with a TCC email account (my.tccd.edu) email, a TCC Colleague ID (student ID) number, and access to WebAdvisor (our online student portal).
At that point, our communication will go to your my.tccd.edu email account. Emails will tell you if there are additional items you need to submit to move on in the admissions process, or if additional residency information is needed prior to registration.
Do I need to take a test before I enroll in courses?
The State of Texas requires all new-to-college students be evaluated for college readiness with a readiness assessment and given extra support if needed.
Right now, the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment cannot be provided in person. However, there is an online test, and there are a variety of exemptions, waivers and alternatives that may apply to your situation.
Talk to a success coach for assistance that is tailored for you.
Do I need a meningitis shot before I register for courses?
At this time, if you are under age 22 and want to take any face-to-face classes on a TCC campus, you are still required to comply with the state's meningitis law.
Registration for online classes does not require a meningitis vaccination.
How can I visit with an academic advisor while campuses are closed?
We are currently offering online live chat assistance with a success coach or academic advisor.
Will I be eligible to register for an online class?
Some of our online classes require students to pass an online readiness test before registration.
Even if you aren't required to take this short test, it can be helpful to determine if you are ready to succeed in an online class.
How do I know when I'm ready to register for courses?
Once you've completed academic advising, new student orientation, and any required testing, you are ready to register for courses.
Eligible students use WebAdvisor to register online.
Do I have to pay for my registration immediately?
Payment is not due on the day you register unless you register on a payment due date. View our upcoming payment deadlines..
You have many payment options, including payment plans and applying for financial aid. If applying for financial aid, do so as soon as possible.
When you register for your classes, you’ll get a confirmation message with a link to payment due dates.
I don't know my TCC student ID number or TCC email. How can I find these?
You should have received this information on your TCC acceptance letter via the email you provided on your admissions application.
