Report Sexual Misconduct or Title IX Discrimination
If you have experienced or witnessed any form of sexual misconduct or Title IX discrimination, TCC staff will help provide support and resources while also guiding you in how to receive protective measures and/or file a criminal complaint (that is your choice).
There are three main options for reporting sexual or interpersonal violence, or Title IX discrimination.
This includes speaking to TCC staff, such as the District Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Title IX Coordinators, Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and College Police, or their designees.
This option does not mean that your report will not be confidential, but it does mean that people who need to know will be told, and information will be shared as necessary with investigators, witnesses, and the accused.
Get started by completing the online incident form.
This includes speaking with on-campus TCC counselors or off-campus rape crisis resources.
TCC counselors are available to you free of charge, and are not designated by TCC as Campus Security Authorities or "responsible employees". Therefore, they are not required to report crime statistics for Clery Act purposes or report incidents of sexual misconduct for Title IX.
This is an anonymous report submitted to the TCC Police's Victim Assistance unit.
TCC will take all reasonable steps to investigate and respond to the complaint consistent with the information provided, including the request not to pursue an investigation. However, if a reporter fails to provide his/her name or other identifiable information and the name of the accused individual, TCCD's ability to respond may be limited.
What are the next steps?
Our institution is here to fully support you. We are here to help you through this.
You can expect a prompt, fair and impartial investigation of your complaint. That includes assisting you with receiving counseling and medical assistance, while also offering protective measures to help you feel safer at TCC.
We will be in communication with you throughout the process, to keep you well informed and feeling as safe as possible.
