Testing

TCC does not have an admissions test; placement tests are used to determine whether the student is college-ready by meeting Texas Success Initiative requirements as well as course prerequisite requirements.

Each campus provides a testing center and offers a variety of tests which include:

ACCUPLACER or THEA placement tests
GED
Credit-by-examination
Ability-to-benefit
Correspondence/proctor
Distance Learning testing

Guidelines

Students must present a student ID or photo ID and, in some cases, a course schedule.
Pencils and scratch paper will be provided.
All electronic devices must be turned off and out of sight.
Breaks are allowed between exam sections.
