GED® Test

The GED® credential is equivalent to a high school diploma and covers these 4 subject areas:

  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Reasoning through Language Arts
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Both English & Spanish GED® tests are available.

How do I study for the GED® test?

We offer High School Equivalency (HSE) courses to help you prepare for the GED® test at no cost as part of our partnership with the Tarrant Adult Education & Literacy Consortium.

Where can I take the GED® test?

The following campuses offer the GED® test:

The test is available only on computer. Receive your results immediately on all sections of the test—except for the essay portion.

How do I register?

You do not have to be enrolled in TCC to take the GED® test at one of our testing centers.

Register by going to the MyGED portal to make an appointment. Through MyGED, you can schedule to take all 4 sections at the Northwest Campus Professional Certification Testing Center (PCTC).

How much does it cost?

The GED® test consists of 4 sections.

  • Each section: $36.25
  • Entire test: $145

You pay online at GED® Test on Computer when you schedule your test sections.
