If you are dropping and/or withdrawing during a regular 16-week semester, you are eligible for a refund of tuition according to the following schedule:
|Prior to the first calendar class day||100%|
|During the first 15 calendar class days||70%|
|During the 16th through the 20th calendar class days||25%|
|After the 20th calendar class day||None|
You must officially drop and/or withdraw to initiate any potential refund unless you are de-registered (DREG) for lack of payment or dropped for academic reasons.
Please refer to the TCCD Master Calendar (WebAdvisor) for term refund dates. For non-regular, semester–length courses, you should contact Business Services Office for refund schedules.
Refunds are generated automatically after dropping a class or if your class is canceled by the College.
They are calculated based on your invoice amount, not the payments you’ve made, and may first be applied to any outstanding balances you have with the College. This includes but is not limited to parking fines, library fines and returned checks.
If you’ve received a Dual Credit Grant reimbursement, you may be required to repay funds received.
Refunds take four to six weeks to process, and will be made to the credit card used for payment, provided the refund is processed within 90 days of payment. Refunds for credit cards after 90 days of payment, along with refunds for cash and check payments, will be processed using your TCC Choice Card refund preference.
If you are under 16 years of age or over the age of 54, a check will be mailed to the address on file. Make sure you address is correct and up-to-date.
Your refund may be appealed by the end of the semester, following the semester you are requesting a refund for.

The complete refund policy can be found on pages 34 and 35 of the Course Catalog.
For the refund policy on noncredit courses, please contact your Community & Industry Education Services Office.
Tuition rates and refund of tuition are subject to change by legislative and/or TCC Board of Trustees action without notice. The College reserves the right to cancel any course section due to an inadequate number of enrolled students.
Eligible financial aid students and anyone between the ages of 16 to 54 are mailed a TCC Choice Card with instructions on choosing how they want to receive future financial aid or course refunds. The TCC Choice Card is mailed to the address on file with Admissions and Records.
