About Our Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program

Patient Care Technician (PCT) by the Numbers

  • 12: weeks to complete the program
  • 3: PCT is offered 3 times per year: fall, spring, and summer semesters
  • 3: prepare for 3 certifications—PCT, Phlebotomy Technician, and EKG Technician
  • $2,500: approximate cost of the program, including books and uniforms

How Our Program Works

Time Commitment

You need to commit to daily attendance in both class and clinicals for the 12 weeks of our PCT program.

Part-time and distance learning are not available at this time.

Schedule

Program courses, labs, and clinicals are held Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Plan for 1 weekday evening course.

Clinics are 1 day per week from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. in an area healthcare facility.

Grades

Successful completion of this program requires a grade of “C” or better in all courses.

Cost

In-District program tuition, fees, books and uniforms: $2,500 (approximately)
