Arlington On-Demand Rideshare

Eligible TCC students can ride for free within the Arlington On-Demand transportation service area. Enter your pickup and drop‑off spots in the app, and your ride will meet you within a block or two of your location.

Service is offered:

  • Monday–Friday: 6 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Sunday: Unavailable

Arlington On-Demand will provide riders advance notice on any holiday-related schedule changes.

Who can use the Arlington On-Demand Rideshare?

To qualify for this program, you must:

  • Be a current TCC student at TCC Southeast Campus, and
  • Be enrolled in one of the following:
    • At least 3 in-person credit hours, or
    • At least 48 in-person continuing education contact hours (that’s 4.8 CEUs)

Students in certain special programs, such as Dual Credit or College for Kids, are not eligible. See the frequently asked questions for more eligibility details for other student groups.

How do I schedule Arlington On-Demand transportation?

To start riding with Arlington On-Demand,

  1. Submit a request for your special promo code to ride for free (link opens in new window)
    • Allow up to 2 business days for processing
  2. Download the app for your smartphone (links open in new window)
  3. Add your promo code in the Arlington Transportation app under the "Promo Code" menu item
  4. Schedule a ride
    • Enter your pickup and drop-off locations in the app, and a rideshare vehicle will meet you within lock or two of where you are

How do I request a promo code for free?

If you qualify for this program, you can request an Arlington On-Demand promo code for free (link opens in new window).

Once you have completed the online form,

  • Please allow 2 business days for processing
  • TCC will verify your eligibility before sending the promo code to your myTCC email address
  • If you haven’t received your promo code via myTCC email within 2 business days, contact RideShare@tccd.edu

Your promo code is valid for the entire semester or until you no longer meet the eligibility requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions about Arlington On-Demand

Are College for Kids, Senior Education, dual credit and Early College High School students eligible to participate in the Arlington On-Demand Program?

No, these students are not eligible at this time.

Based on agreements with current Dual Credit and Early College High School partners, transportation needs for those students already have been met.

College for Kids and Senior Education students are also not eligible at this time.

What is the normal wait time to be picked up by a Arlington On-Demand driver?

Wait times usually average 12 to 15 minutes but may vary depending on nearby driver availability.

You can view estimated wait times when you enter your pickup and drop off locations in the Arlington Transportation app.

When a ride is booked, you will receive an updated time of arrival. Once the driver has arrived, you must arrive at the pickup location and board the vehicle within two minutes.

Do I need to have my school ID?

Yes, you must have your TCC student ID to show the rideshare driver upon boarding the vehicle.

Can I only ride for free when I'm going to or from a TCC location?

If you're enrolled in at least 3 credit hours, you may be eligible for free rides anywhere within Arlington On-Demand service area.

Is the Arlington On-Demand Program wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is an option for wheelchair accessible transportation when scheduling a ride.
