Family & Friends Commencement Information

We know you can't wait to celebrate the accomplishment of a friend or family member.

Check with your graduate to determine which one of the commencement ceremonies they are attending.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

No, tickets are not required.

When Should I Arrive?

Guests can arrive approximately 60 minutes prior to each ceremony.

Is there a limit of the number of guests per graduate?

No, we do not restrict the number of guests.

What if I have a guest with limited mobility or needs special accommodation?

Ushers will be available at the Fort Worth Convention Center 9th Street entrance for assistance.

Are there bag restrictions?

There are no Fort Worth Convention Center bag restrictions.

Can I bring balloons, flowers, signs, or noisemakers?

Air-filled balloons, flowers and small signs are allowed. Helium-filled balloons are not allowed.

What are other prohibited items?

Noisemakers, bullhorns, airhorns, etc. are prohibited. Please help ensure that all guests can hear the name of their graduate during the ceremony.  

Helium-filled balloons, silly string, and confetti are not permitted at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Will food be available?

Yes, FWCC concession vendors will be available before the ceremonies start.
