Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Cost: Free for 50 eligible high school students* 

*Tarrant County College District was awarded a Governor’s Summer Merit Program grant for Summer 2024. The Governor’s Summer Merit Program provides youth interested in a STEM field to enroll in a camp that focuses on science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). 

Camp Highlights 

Topics covered will include: 

  • AI and Generative Algorithms 
  • Ethics in AI 
  • Advanced text generation techniques 
  • Exploring text-based art 
  • You will also get practical experience in text generation using AI tools such as ChatGPT and MidJourney.  

Plan to attend a day trip to the University of Texas at Austin’s McComb School of Business where you will hear a lecture and learn more about pursuing AI as a field of study.

Orientation 

Orientation will be held on the first day of classes from 8-9 a.m.
