Inspiring, Design, Engineering, and Artistry (3D Printing)

*Tarrant County College District was awarded a Governor’s Summer Merit Program grant for Summer 2024. The Governor’s Summer Merit Program provides youth interested in a STEM field to enroll in a camp that focuses on science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). 

Camp Highlights 

IDEA will focus on providing skills in topics to include but not limited to: 

  • 3D print design and production 
  • Operation of 3D printers 
  • Troubleshooting 
  • Aligning designs with engineering principles 
  • Career exploration in fields such as architecture and engineering 

You will participate in a series of collaborative, hands-on learning exercises to demonstrate your skills in 3D printing. We will take a field trip to a local 3D printing company, where you will be able to see state-of-the-art 3D printers and learn about the production cycle.

Orientation 

Orientation will be held on the first day of classes from 8-9 a.m.
