TCC Northwest Campus Gets 2017 Improvements

Beginning this month, Tarrant County College's Northwest Campus will experience a renovation, starting with the four-story building that houses its Student Services and Library. When students and staff return from winter break on Jan. 16, the structural scaffolding will already be in place to ensure everyone's safety while improvements are underway.

TCC's Real Estate and Facilities team conducted a comprehensive façade assessment. The assessment identified initial improvements that should be made to the 43-year-old campus. These improvements will help it meet new construction and energy code standards established since the campus was constructed. Campus and district officials will work with industry professionals to explore additional work the campus may need going forward.

"Our goal is to make repairs and plan for future improvements to the buildings on the Northwest Campus," said Elva LeBlanc, Ph.D., Northwest Campus president. "While this work will take time, we are committed to keeping disruption to a minimum and maintaining our focus on service to our students."
