About Our Certification Center
Our state-of-the-art testing facility offers high-stakes certification and licensure exams for professional, government, and corporate agencies. We also proctor exams for students enrolled in a college or university online course locally and throughout the United States.
The Professional Certification Center's (PCC) mission is to promote student success, serve the community, and excel at administering exams in a secure, high-quality, service-oriented manner. We adhere to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.

What exams can I take?
Scheduled Through Our Testing Center
- Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP)
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)
- Exams for other colleges, universities, and businesses
(Texas state proctored exams include computer-based and paper/pencil tests)
To register for these exams
- Complete qualifying requirements for your test.
- Email PCC to schedule your test: ProfessionalTesting@tccd.edu.
- Report to the PCC on your scheduled exam day.
- Bring required documentation, including a valid driver's license or passport. Please follow vendor instructions.
- Pay $25 proctor fee online through the Northwest Campus PCC's uStore.

Schedule your GED® test through Pearson VUE.
To register for these exams
- Contact your test provider to register, schedule, and pay for your test.
- Report to the PCC on your scheduled exam day.
- Bring required documentation, including a valid driver's license or passport. Please follow vendor instructions.

Follow the directions below to find parking near the testing center:
- Enter the Northwest Campus from Marine Creek Parkway (closest to I-820)
- At the four-way stop, drive straight (toward South Parking Lot B)
Building NW02 is in front of the parking lot, and the testing center is on the 1st floor in Room 1906A.

Hours
Exam hours may differ from office hours.
- Monday–Friday: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Saturday–Sunday: Closed
All exams are by appointment only.
