Student Empowerment Center (SEC)

We understand. There's a lot that goes into being a successful student. Challenges outside the classroom can impact your continued success. Don’t let coverage of your basic needs limit achieving your goals.

Whether encountering financial challenges, a housing gap or healthcare needs, our team at TCC’s Student Empowerment Center (SEC) is here to help.

Our SEC team acts as your advocate providing guidance on resources available, both at TCC and in the local community. We are here to offer support during difficult times.

How We Help

The SEC team serves as a connection to resources both inside TCC and in our local community. Our staff offers wraparound services, ensuring that students are seen as individuals and provided with the right resources at the right time.

  • Complete a 5-question application to start the process.
  • You’ll receive a call/email from the SEC team within 2 business days to tailor resources to your specific needs.

Explore On Your Own

While we recommend you connect with our staff and allow us to support your search, we know sometimes you want to jump right in. Follow these steps to explore community resources on your own.

  • Create a profile in our Single Stop system.
  • Connect your TCC credentials to Single Stop (This should take about 5-15 minutes.)
