Amberton University

TCC students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale entering into this program under the terms of this MOA are guaranteed admission to Amberton. Students from TCC who meet the general admission requirements of Amberton with a completed Core Curriculum, Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, will receive automatic admission to Amberton.

Wile admission to Amberton does not guarantee admission to all of Amberton's degree granting programs, majors, minors, or fields of concentration, incoming TCC transfer students shall be able to compete for admission to specific Amberton programs on the same basis as students native to Amberton. 

American Sentinel University

Accelerated Admissions for Nursing Programs

Required documentation for all enrolling students includes the following:

  • Application for admission (online application)
  • Resume
  • Copy of Associate and/or Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science transcripts
  • Copy of active/unencumbered RN license (nursing degree programs)

Applications will receive 24-hour turnaround. Transcripts will be evaluated within 72 hours for transfer credit possibilities.

Arizona State University

75 Credit Hour Degree Options for Universal Partners

The following degrees and associated sub plans accept up to 75 credit hours of community college coursework upon successful completion of an associate degree from partnering community colleges:

  • Interdisciplinary Studies, BA
  • Liberal Studies, BA
  • Organizational Leader­ship, BA

RN to BSN Options

Students admitted to the BSN program online can pursue RN to BSN or concurrent enrollment program. Up to 75 transfer credits from a regionally accredited associate degree nursing program may be accepted and applied to the online BSN program.

Bellevue University

Any qualified student who has earned an associate degree from TCC will receive a Persistence Grant, funded by Bellevue University, that will "pay back" the cost of their associate degree. The grant will be applied to their tuition balance while they are enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Bellevue University.

Eligibility Criteria

Any graduate from TCC, from any year, is eligible. 

Qualified students must:

  • Have graduated with an associate degree from TCC
  • Have graduated with a 2.0 GPA or "C" average
  • Have an official transcript from TCC
  • Attend full-time at Bellevue University (some exceptions apply)
  • Be degree-seeking at Bellevue University

Grant Details

Students will be awarded three grants of equal amounts as they persist through their degree at Bellevue University. These grants will equal the cost of their tuition only.

Total grant amount will be the total current tuition amount that it cost a student to complete an associate degree or 60 credit hours.

Stipulations for Grant Usage

  • Reimbursement is for up to 60 credit hours of tuition only (no fees, books, licenses, equipment, room/board, etc. included).
  • Reimbursement for courses outside of associate's degree, including continuing education and developmental courses, do not qualify.
  • Cannot be combined with other Bellevue University grants.
  • Can be combined with other scholarships (internal and external).
    • Exception: The Dream Scholarship. The Persistence Grant cannot be combined with the Dream Scholarship under any circumstance.
    • The scholarships funds will be awarded first and the grant amount will be applied last. The amount of the grant cannot exceed the balance of tuition for that term. There are no refunds awarded to students.
  • Bellevue University must have received a signed acknowledgment form.
  • Timeline of 200% of terms from start date. For example, if a student starts a cohort in fall of 2020, and the program is in total 18 months, then the student must use the funds within 36 months. Students cannot return after a 36-month period and request the same funds be applied if they did not use all of the eligible funds.
  • Reimbursed for bachelor's degree programs only (a second bachelor's degree is allowed, if the grant was not already used towards the first bachelor's degree).
  • Withdrawing from Bellevue University negates any grant monies offered, and will need to be returned to Bellevue University.
  • Non-transferrable and non-refundable.
  • Only one associate's degree can be applied, per person.

California Baptist University Online

CBU shall waive application fees and offer a 30% tuition scholarship to eligible graduates, former students, or students of TCC (eligibility to be verified by TCC, upon request) who participate In the MOA and attend cohort classes online.

Participants in the MOA must be enrolled In a minimum of 12 units per semester at the undergraduate level to receive the 30% tuition scholarship. Should the student drop below 12 units per semester at the undergraduate level, the tuition scholarship will be reduced to 10%.

The tuition scholarship applies only to tuition, and no other fees (other than the application fee) will be discounted. The tuition discounts apply provided that student accounts remain current. The discounts and scholarships described herein do not apply to the University's RN to BSN program and may not be combined with other institutional aid.

Capella University

TCC alumni will receive a 10% tuition discount on all Capella courses, as long as this Agreement is in effect.

This discount shall not apply to any other fees or residential colloquia. The tuition discount is not retroactive and existing learners will realize tuition changes upon their next quarter start.

Capella University reserves the right to change its tuition. 

Colorado State University Global Campus

TCC graduates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, courses numbered 100 and above, entering under the terms of this MOU are guaranteed admission into the university. However, students should be advised that some degree programs at CSU-Global might require a higher GPA for admission.

Columbia College

Provide enhanced benefits to TCC graduates by:

  • Increasing the existing Associate Degree Transfer Grant from 5% to 10% for eligible TCC associate degree graduates pursuing an undergraduate degree program online or at one of CC's nationwide locations (benefit not applicable to traditional Day program courses in Missouri). To be eligible, the graduate must:
    • Be enrolled In a CC undergraduate degree program.
    • Have completed an associate degree consisting of 60 or more credit hours and graduated from TCC,
    • Not have attended another college, other than TCC, since the awarding of the associate degree.
  • Accepting up to 81 transfer credit hours

Concordia University Texas

Articulation from the Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) Degrees

TCC students who graduate with the Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree with a 2.0 or higher GPA are guaranteed admission to Concordia. All earned academic college-level coursework is eligible for transferability, when applicable to the degree plan. Actual transfer of credit will be conducted according to Concordia's policies and agreements.

  • Note 1: Students who earn a grade of "C" or better in a two-semester sequence of a non-­English language (i.e. Spanish I and Spanish 11) will satisfy the language requirement for Concordia's Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Students electing to complete one semester of a non-English language for the Humanities requirement at TCC are strongly encouraged to also complete a second semester of that same language at TCC to avoid curricular and pedagogical mismatches between language sequences between institutions.
  • Note 2: Students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree within the College of Science at Concordia are required to successfully complete calculus and statistics courses. Thus, selection of the following coursework at TCC is strongly recommended: MATH 2413 to fulfill the former requirement and/or MATH 1342 to fulfill the later requirement.
  • Note 3: Completion of up to 9 credit hours outside of the general education foundation at TCC within the elective requirement with a grade of "C" or higher in the same discipline may be used towards the minimum of 18 credit hours required for the designation of a minor at Concordia, within the provisions stated in the Concordia Academic Catalog under the section Minors.

Articulation from the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Degree into the Bachelor of Art in Teacher Education Programs

General Transfer into Teacher Education Programs

TCC students who graduate with the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree are guaranteed admission to Concordia University Texas. All earned academic college-level coursework is eligible for transferability, when applicable to the degree plan. Actual transfer of credit will be conducted according to Concordia's policies and agreements.

Admission to the College of Education, however, is not guaranteed. If the incoming student meets the requirement of a grade of C or better in all course work completed with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5, he/she may apply for admission to the College in the initial education course taken at Concordia. Upon completion of an informal interview and a recommendation from a faculty member from the College of Education, provisional admission may be granted at that time. During the third course in the education sequence, teacher candidates may apply for full admission to the College of Education and the Teacher Education Program.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program consists of the following evaluation criteria:

  • Evidence of basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics through satisfactory course completion or performance on standardized tests such as THEA, ACT or SAT, Accuplacer or Compass
  • Be a student in good standing with university (per Concordia policy)
  • Earn a 2.5 cumulative GPA and 2.5 GPA in all education coursework
  • Two recommendations from Concordia College of Education faculty
  • Recommendation for admission from a formal interview with College of Education faculty

Note 1: Approved coursework in both federal and state/local governments is required by the Teacher Education program, so TCC students must have both GOVT 2305 and GOVT 2306 earned from TCC or from equivalent transfer credit. Concordia will offer a one-credit-hour on-line Texas Government course for those that need only this component.

Note 2: The College of Education (COE) at Concordia requires successful completion of the following courses for all BA degree plans. The table below shows current TCC courses that will meet these individual requirements:

Dallas Baptist University

  • Waive the undergraduate application fee for all TCC students and alumni.
  • Consider all qualifying undergraduate TCC students and alumni for academic merit scholarships up to $13,000 per year.
  • Consider all qualifying undergraduate Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) members from TCC for a Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship of up to $11,000 per year.
  • Consider all active members of TCC's Baptist Student Ministry for a Baptist Student Ministry scholarship of $1,000 per year.
  • Consider all qualifying undergraduate TCC students and alumni for Christian Service and Leadership scholarships, each worth up to $3,000 per year.
  • Consider all qualifying TCC students for Commuter Academic Scholarships up to $7,000 per year, if living off-campus.

DeVry University

Tuition Benefits

TCC alumni and their dependents who are registered to and attend DeVry’s programs will be charged tuition at a percentage reduction of DeVry's then prevailing tuition rate. The percentage reduction is subject to change at DeVry’s sole discretion.

No student who is already enrolled at DeVry shall receive any application fee credit or repayment.

The reduced tuition will not start until the first full session after the effective date. No student shall receive any tuition credit, repayment, reparation or refund relating to classes that commenced prior to the first full term after the effective date.

Students shall not be entitled to any other reduced tuition or DeVry savings, and are subject to all other requirements, rules, policies and procedures as set forth in the respective DeVry catalogs and addenda, as amended from time to time.

Jump Start Your Future Program

DeVry, in conjunction with TCC, is offering the following opportunity to new students and their dependents who have enrolled at DeVry after the effective date. Please note: Students who take part in DeVry's Bridge2Bachelor’s program are not eligible for the Jump Start Your Future program detailed herein.

Benefits

New students and their dependents may enroll in a DeVry 3-credit-hour course for academic credit at no tuition cost. Students are responsible for the costs of books and student fees applicable to their selected program.

For those students interested in a 4-credit hour course, they may enroll and will be responsible for the tuition for one credit hour.

In addition, the Learning Management System Access ("LMS") fee will be waived for students taking only one course, but the LMS fee will be charged if a student takes additional courses.

Eligibility

Students must meet all pre-requisite and course requirements, and take the course within their first session. A student may not take more than one complimentary course in their first session.

Students who fail DeVry's entrance assessment for math and/or English will be placed in DeVry’s foundational prep courses ("Foundations"), which are free of charge. Such students may not participate in the Jump Start Your Future Program until they have successfully completed their Foundations coursework. Foundations coursework is offered at DeVry’s discretion to applicants whose demonstrated proficiency in college level skills does not meet the minimum requirements for admissions

Franklin University agrees to provide the following benefits to students and alumni of TCC from the date of execution of this Articulation Agreement through the duration of the Articulation Agreement for the promotion of the designated transfer opportunity benefits.

Grand Canyon University

Reduced Tuition

Grand Canyon University (GCU) shall grant eligible TCC graduates a 10% scholarship off the current GCU tuition prices for its programs. This Participant Scholarship shall be available as long as the agreement between TCC and GCU is in place and the student meets the requirements of the agreement.

GCU reserves the right to change tuition pricing at any time, and the Participant Scholarship will be applied only as an offset to tuition stated in GCU's University Policy Handbook.

The Participant Scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarships, awards, promotions, and/or other programs offered by GCU unless otherwise indicated on the MOU.

Tuition Scholarship

GCU offers content, instruction, and academic oversight of the Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP), known as the RN-BSN or MSN Bridge.

The program courses will follow the Outline of Concurrent Courses. As improvements are made to the programs, the program of study courses may change; however, credit hour requirements will follow the specifications of the current catalog.

GCU shall grant eligible TCC students a scholarship rate of $250/credit hour for the courses required to complete the CEP, which is a reduction in the undergraduate tuition as shown in the current GCU University Policy Handbook (UPH). This Partner Scholarship shall be available as long as the agreement between TCC and GCU is in place and the student maintains eligibility in the CEP by Partner.

GCU reserves the right to change the pricing in its UPH at any time and the Partner Scholarship will be applied only as an offset to tuition stated in the UPH.

The Partner Scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarships, awards, promotions and/or other programs offered by GCU. The Partner Scholarship applies to all eligible TCC students who apply to GCU for the CEP on or after the effective date of TCC and GCU's agreement.

Grantham University

Eligible TCC faculty, staff (i.e., all personnel currently employed by TCC and remain currently employed by TCC) and graduates (identified by the Alliance Manager for TCC) will receive a discounted tuition rate of $250/hour for undergraduate coursework and $320/hour for graduate work at Grantham University. The discounted tuition rate is not retroactive.

Applicants meeting (a) RN-BSN acceptance criteria and (b) Grantham Heroes eligibility as outlined in the Grantham University catalog will receive benefits including:

  • 81 credit hours awarded toward the BSN degree to RN applicants whose education and licensing is completed prior to matriculation at Grantham University
  • Reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit unit, plus textbooks and resources at no extra charge for patient-care applicants who qualify for the Grantham Heroes program
  • All other benefits provided to Grantham University students, including access to online resources, career advising, and access to the Teaching and Learning Center.

Houston Baptist University

Waived Application Fee

Application fees will be waived for TCC students and employees.

Tuition Credit & Scholarships

All scholarship awards are renewable for up to 7 semesters based on either maintaining a minimum:

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 for the tuition credit, or
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the HBU Transfer Merit Scholarships and the Phi Theta Kappa award.

Qualifying transfer students with at least a 2.0 GPA will automatically be considered for a tuition credit of 33% each semester.

HBU Transfer Merit Award Scholarship

Qualifying undergraduate students will automatically be considered for the HBU Transfer Merit Award Scholarship of $16,000 per year.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Phi Theta Kappa members in good standing will also receive an additional $3,000 scholarship per year.

Joint Admission

TCC students and employees admitted to HBU and TCC will have:

  • Academic advising access at HBU
  • Student IDs are both HBU and TCC
  • Computer/internet account at HBU and TCC
  • Computer lab access at HBU and TCC
  • Library access at HBU and TCC

Online Program Tuition Discount

Non-military student discount is 15% off tuition. The tuition discount is applied for the life of the degree, as long as the student does not break enrollment (does not include military students, see the tuition rate for military service members below).

Military service members discount is a discounted tuition rate of $250 per credit hour. This is for active duty and honorably discharged veterans who submit an LES or DD-214.

Indiana Tech

Transfer students from TCC are eligible for a 20% merit scholarship. The scholarship is open to associate degree graduates of TCCD with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The merit scholarship is applied towards undergraduate tuition.

All students are subject to university policies. If a student or employee is eligible for the IT Military Scholarship or Community College Tech Merit Scholarship, the student or employee must select one scholarship to use.

LIM College

LIM College, in partnership with TCC, will create and award the LIM College/TCC Transfer Scholarship, in an effort to encourage TCC students to earn their associate degree credentials, facilitate transfer to the four-year institution, and support completion of the bachelor's degree at LIM College.

Eligibility Criteria for Transfer Scholarship

TCC students must:

  1. Graduate from TCC with minimum GPA of 2.0
  2. Graduate from TCC with an associate of applied science (AAS) degree in one of the following:
    1. Business Administration: Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management
    2. Business Administration: Fashion Merchandising
    3. Business Administration: Management
    4. Business Administration: Marketing
    5. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  3. Register at LIM College as full-time, matriculated students in one of the following Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs:
    1. Business of Fashion
    2. Fashion Merchandising
    3. Marketing

The scholarship is renewable as long as students maintain:

  1. Cumulative GPA of 2.0
  2. Full-time matriculated status
  3. Satisfactory academic progress (SAP) towards a degree at LIM College

National University

Brief Tuition Discount Scholarship Description

This agreement recognizes students transferring to NU upon completion of their transferable associate degree and begin classes at NU within 12 months will receive a 25% transfer scholarship pursuant to Section IV subsection C herein. This agreement recognizes the alumni of TCC who have completed a transferable associate degree at any point in time from TCC will also be eligible for this tuition reduction scholarship. NU will review each student to determine the best tuition benefit program based on eligibility and current institutional offerings in addition to the above-mentioned tuition reduction scholarships.

NU Tuition Discount Scholarships

NU will offer scholarship options to transfer students from TCC. Upon individual eligibility verification, participants will be afforded one of the following scholarships:

  1. 25% AA/AS to Bachelor's Tuition Reduction Scholarship. Students must enroll within 12 months of earning their degree from TCC.
  2. 25% Alumni Tuition Reduction Scholarship. Student must have earned a transferable associate degree at any point from TCC.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Have a 2.0 incoming grade point average at the time of application to NU;
  • All prior university and college academic transcripts must be submitted within 30 days following submission of the application for admission to be eligible; and
  • Must be formally accepted to the NU (Formal acceptance is achieved once all transcripts have been evaluated).

Prairie View A&M University

Prairie View A&M University assures the acceptance of any associate degree graduate who has earned a grade point average of 2.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) into its baccalaureate degree programs, except those in Engineering and Nursing, Human Sciences, and Teacher Education which require a grade point average of 2.50 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

Purdue University Global (Formerly Kaplan University)

TCC students, alumni and employees will receive a 20% percent discount on their KU tuition. TCC students, alumni and employees must inform KU admissions directors about their affiliation with TCC to receive their discount.

Sam Houston State University

"Joint Admission" provides students a mechanism to maximize utilization of facilities and programs offered jointly by the Tarrant County College District and Sam Houston State University (SHSU).

Students accepted under joint admission may simply transfer, alternate enrollment between institutions, or co-enroll at their discretion.

Programs in joint admission include:

  1. The ability to attend both schools simultaneously or alternately
  2. SHSU ID
  3. SHSU computer/internet account
  4. Library access
  5. Access to sporting events
  6. Free electronic transfer transcript evaluation
  7. Student access to their transcript online with degree plan generation software prior to actually enrolling at Sam Houston State University

Southern New Hampshire University

During the term of this Associate of Arts (AA) program, you will be eligible to receive a 10% tuition discount if you are a:

  • TCC employee
  • Family member of a TCC employee
    • Immediate family members of only—classified as spouses, domestic partners, children, siblings, and parents)
  • TCC Alumnus
    • Classified as TCC graduates of an associate degree or higher

Terms in Detail

During the term of this AA, each TCC employee, the immediate family members of employees only (classified as spouses, domestic partners, children, siblings and parents), and Alumni (classified as TCC graduates of an associate degree or higher), who identifies partner on his or her COCE discount application will receive a 10% tuition discount.

No tuition credit, or refund shall be made retroactively for any TCC employees, family members of employees, or alumni already enrolled at SNHU on the date of execution of this Agreement; however, the tuition discount shall be applied to such employees, family members of employees, or alumni for course enrollments following the execution of this AA.

The terms of this AA apply only to the standard course-based online degree programs. This AA does not apply to any other University program or coursework, including specialty/cohort programs, day programs, and coursework provided by SNHU’s college campus.  

SNHU may change its tuition rates at any time at its sole discretion and the reduction will be calculated based on the current tuition in effect for the applicable academic term for the enrolled program. Eligible employees and alumni shall not be entitled to any other reduction and are subject to all other admission and continuation requirements as set forth in the respective SNHU policies and catalogs. Admission criteria, academic requirements, and other admission requirements will be subject to the applicable academic catalog accessed through snhu.edu at the time of the students’ admission.

Students who have begun their SNHU program of study or students in the process of enrolling prior to the effective date of any without cause termination will be grandfathered in to continue receiving the discount offered in this A.A. until such time such students complete or discontinue enrollment in their program.

Southwestern Adventist University

SWAU shall grant automatic admission to all TCC students who meet the following requirements:

  • Submit application with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Complete the FAFSA and identify SWAU as an institution of choice

For students meeting the requirements who commit to attend, SWAU shall:

  • Waive any admissions application fee
  • Honor test score optional admission
  • Extend admission offer and scholarship package

Southwestern University

For TCC students who apply for admission to SU under this articulation agreement and who have

  • Completed 24 hours with one or fewer remedial, technical, or vocational courses, and
  • Completed this work with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA,

SU will automatically grant admission upon submission and processing of an admission application and all required credentials, including a favorable College Official's Report.

Students will be automatically reviewed for merit based scholarships and awarded the highest level for which they are eligible. As an attendee of TCC, all participants in the articulation agreement who are offered admission will also be awarded a Partnership Award.

Strayer University

Strayer University (SU) students have a desire for education in the fields of business, accounting, criminal justice, education, healthcare administration, human resource management, management, information technology or public administration. Learn more about Strayer's undergraduate programs.

Strayer University and TCC have worked together to create a seamless transition for students seeking a bachelors degree. TCC students who transfer to Strayer and meet the admissions requirements and have completed an associate's degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 will receive guaranteed admission. For students who have completed an associate's degree from TCC, grades of D or higher will be accepted in transfer for equivalent courses.

Students who have not yet completed an associate degree but are interested in transfer may also apply for transfer. These students must meet SU standard admissions requirements. All credit will be evaluated based on SU standard policies outlined in the university catalog on a course by course basis.

Texas Southern University

TCC students, who meet the admissions requirements of Texas Southern University and participate in TCC honor program or complete the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Arts in Teaching degree, will receive automatic admission to Texas Southern University.

Texas Tech University

Assured Admission Criteria

TCC students meeting the following combination of transferable hours and GPA are assured admission to TTU. GPA is cumulative for all transferable courses (including dual credit) from all schools attended. Courses taken for grade replacement are used for GPA calculation only if the same course is repeated at the same institution where it was originally taken.

Texas Tech University College of Education

Assured Admissions Criteria

TCC students meeting the following TTU and College of Education assured admission standards for transfer admission to the College of Education.

The assured admission requirements are:

  • Apply to TTU after completing the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree at TCC
  • Have a 2.75 or better GPA on all college level coursework completed
  • Have completed the coursework listed in the attached addendum
  • Have a grade of "C" or higher in all courses
  • Meet one of the following basic skills requirements (for students entering the program between spring 2014 and spring 2017)
    • SAT: minimum score of 500 on the Verbal, 500 on the Math, and total score of 1070.
    • ACT: minimum score of 19 on the English, 19 on the Math, and total score of 23.
  • TSI Compliance Exam minimum scores:
    • Reading = 351
    • Writing = 363 on Multiple Choice with 4 on the Essay, and
    • Mathematics = 350.
  • Complete TechTeach Certification Application

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

TTUHSC shall waive the application fee. (Applies to eligible TCC students who complete the ADN Program and meet all the applicable TTUHSC admissions criteria; Concurrent Enrollment Program cohort students may be admitted to the RN to BSN Program.)

Touro University Worldwide

Students who have completed lower division courses at an accredited college or university will be able to transfer up to 90 credits towards the bachelor's degree offered by TUW including up to 72 community college credits. A minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher is required.

Trident University International

Agreement on Admission

TCC students with an earned Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree are guaranteed admission into Trident University International provided that they meet Trident's current undergraduate admission requirements, (2.0 GPA in all transfer work). Students who transfer with an AAS degree or who transfer before graduating will complete their general education courses at Trident. If general education courses have been taken at TCC, these courses will be accepted towards meeting Trident's general education requirements.

Agreement on Discount

TCC students will also be eligible for special tuition rates.

  • Bachelor's Degree: 23% discount of the prevailing tuition rate applicable to that student's chosen program.
  • Master's Degree: 29% discount of the prevailing tuition rate applicable to that student's chosen program.
  • Doctoral Degree: 9% discount of the prevailing tuition rate applicable to that student's chosen program.

Such tuition savings commencing the first session after the effective date of this agreement.

No tuition credit, repayment, or refund shall be made for or to any partner school relating to classes enrolled in or attended prior to the first session post-effective date.

Partner schools are not entitled to any other tuition reductions and are subject to all TUI policies and requirements applicable to other students.

University of Arizona Global Campus

TCC graduates, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, entering under the terms of this agreement are guaranteed admission into a bachelor's degree program at Ashford University provided they meet all admissions requirements for the chosen degree program. The transfer guides outlined in this articulation agreement are applicable to students transferring to Ashford University from TCC.

Under this agreement, TCC students transferring with a conferred associate degree with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and recognized as meeting the general education requirement for bachelor's degrees offered through state universities in Texas will have fulfilled all lower division general education requirements at Ashford University. The general education capstone course must still be completed at Ashford University.

TCC students transferring without an aforementioned degree will have all college-level academic credit (generally, 100-level or higher), and with a grade of "C-" or better, accepted for transfer on a course-by-course basis into the academic categories that are the best fit (e.g., elective, general education requirement, major course). Students may transfer up to 90 credits from TCC.

University of Maryland Global Campus

TCC's students, graduates, and dependents who enroll in UMGC undergraduate or graduate programs under this agreement are Community College Tuition Discount Program Participants ("Program Participants"). Each program participant shall be responsible for registering for courses covered by this agreement.

If a program participant is not currently admitted to UMGC, the individual shall submit an admissions application to UMGC, prior to the regularly scheduled UMGC semester in which the individual intends to enroll. UMGC shall evaluate the application and offer or deny admission and enroll program participants in accordance with UMGC's standard policies and procedures.

Upon acceptance, program participants may register for courses or programs and transfer credits and/or be awarded prior learning credit if eligible under UMGC's standard policies and procedures.

Waived Application Fee

UMGC shall waive the application fee for all applicants who are admitted to UMGC and become program participants.

Reduced Tuition

The tuition for program participants shall be equal to the current catalog's out-of-state tuition minus twenty-five percent (25%) (the "Discounted Tuition"), except:

  • The discounted rate shall not apply to UMGC's specialty undergraduate and graduate courses or programs, and doctoral courses or programs, which may be amended from time to time;
  • If the discounted tuition rate is less than the in-state tuition rate, a program participant will receive the in-state, or any other applicable, rate, as described in this section; and
  • Program participants who qualify for the in-state tuition rate or special tuition rate offered to active-duty military service members, spouses, and dependents shall be charged the applicable rate.

University of Phoenix, Inc.

The University will offer students who have been conferred an associate degree from school (TCC) (hereinafter collectively "Eligible Students") the Associate Transfer tuition rate as set forth in the University's Academic Catalog toward undergraduate coursework, and the waiver of Prior Learning Assessment fees for all programs. The Associate Transfer Tuition Rate shall not be combined with nor shall it apply to any other University promotions, scholarships or tuition reduction offers.

For eligible students who enroll pursuant to this agreement in an approved University bachelor's program with an established 3+1 Transfer Pathway with School, the University will waive the tuition and resource fee for Eligible Student's first course for either Foundations for University Success (GEN/201) or Professional Contemporary Nursing Role and Practice (NSG/302) (one tuition and resource fee waiver only) in the approved bachelor program, during the Term of the Agreement.

Except as provided for in 2.2, eligible students are responsible for paying all tuition fees and costs, including any book and materials fees associated with their enrollment at the University.

UNT Health Science Center: College of Pharmacy

The Early Assurance Program (EAP) is composed of the following components:

  • Undergraduate pre-pharmacy curriculum
  • Admissions and Recruitment enrichment activities

EAP Program Requirements

Students participating in the Early Assurance Program shall:

  • Intend to matriculate to the HSCCP, Doctor of Pharmacy program on a date beyond the immediate incoming class.
  • Complete the PharmDirect online application prior to the April 1st deadline of the academic year in which they plan to enter EAP.
  • Complete a minimum of 30 semester credit hours, including Biology 1, Biology 2, General Chemistry 1, General Chemistry 2, and Calculus 1.
  • Submit a Letter-of-Intent to the HSC Office of Admissions and Recruitment by April 1.
  • Complete all prerequisite courses with a minimum 3.2 GPA (Table of coursework), prior to matriculation.
  • Submit official transcripts, as requested, to verify pre-requisite completion.
  • Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing in school.
  • Attend Office Admissions and Recruitment events.

Students in the EAP who meet the benchmarks will automatically be invited for an interview.

UNT Health Science Center: Graduate School for Biomedical Sciences

UNTHSC GSBS determines the eligibility criteria for admissions into the B.S. in Biomedical Sciences.

All applicants must complete the following prerequisite coursework to receive assured admission to the B.S. in Biomedical Sciences.

Students must:

  • Transfer at least 73 credits, including all requirements of the Texas Core Curriculum and the math and science requirements (indicated in the chart below). Students who transfer from a Texas public community college or public university and are certified as core complete shall have satisfied the core requirements of the B.S. in Biomedical Sciences degree.
  • Earn a minimum grade of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) for all transfer courses.
  • Transfer the coursework from a regionally accredited institution. Once coursework has been accepted and processed as transfer credit, the student's official transcript will include the name of the transferring college/university and the number of credit hours awarded in transfer.

Recipients will receive a $500.00 tuition credit each term, renewable for up to 4 terms based on satisfactory academic performance.
