Early College High School

Early College High Schools (ECHS) provide and opportunity to high school students who might not otherwise consider attending college. You will have the chance to graduate with a high school diploma and 60 college credit hours.

With rigorous college courses, ECHS students gain a college-focused high school experience. You will be able to:

Attend campus events
Get involved with clubs and organizations
Use campus learning and support services
Gain the full college experience while in high school

ECHS can be located on or near a college campus, or be integrated into traditional high school buildings and PTECH programs.

ECHS differs from dual credit programs in that its focus begins in 9th or 10th grade, whereas dual credit programs are usually offered beginning in the 11th or 12th grade.
