Auditions
Audition for Theatre Southeast

Theatre Southeast auditions are open to all current TCC SE students, with casting priority given to those enrolled in SE Drama classes.
The process typically involves cold reading from the script provided at the auditions. On some occasions, you may be asked to present two contrasting monologues or prepare a short musical selection, depending on the production.
You will be asked to provide your schedule and availability (classes, work, etc.) to help plan rehearsals, tech week, and performances.

Eligibilities and Requirements
- Auditions are open to all currently enrolled TCC SE students.
- If cast, you must attend multiple rehearsals each week.
- You do not have to be enrolled in Theatre Practicum to participate, but if two students seem equally qualified for the same role or crew position, priority will be given to students enrolled in Drama classes.
- You must have reliable transportation to get to/from rehearsals. If you rely on someone else for transportation, talk to them before auditioning.
- Auditions will consist of readings from the script. You do not need to prepare a monologue.
- Come to the audition with a list consisting of your class schedule and the times of other outside commitments, including work, picking up siblings from school, church, prior commitments to sports team, etc.
Important Notes:
This project requires serious time commitment. Auditioning for the show, then later informing directors of rehearsal conflicts, is not an option. This will likely result in you being replaced by another actor who is available during the designated schedule. Please take a moment to consider your availability before auditioning.
Audition Dates and Times
- Audition: February 17–18, 4–6:30 p.m.
- Location: C.A. Roberson Theatre (SE03 1313A-X)
Note:
- Audition on both days is not required, but you are welcome to do so.
- If you can only come for one day, please try to attend on the first day.
Rehearsal Dates and Times
We will announce the rehearsal schedule after reviewing your schedule and availability. Most likely, rehearsals will be in the late afternoon or evening, and up to 4-5 times a week over a span of 6 weeks.
