Faculty Advisory Council

The eLearning Faculty Advisory Council was formed in Spring 2011 as a representative body of online faculty members to play an advisory role in contributing to the practices of eLearning.

The 19-member Council is composed of one representative from each division on each campus as well as one representative from Community and Industry Education Services.

About the Representatives

Representatives will serve a three-year term; however, initial representatives were assigned staggered terms to ensure turnover after the first and second years.

Council members are expected to be experienced, successful online instructors with well-developed online classes. They should have an understanding of the importance of curriculum development standards and guidelines for maintaining quality teaching and learning experiences.

From the membership, each campus has a representative to act as primary facilitator of discussions and contributions between campus instructors, the Council and eLearning administration.

Mission

The eLearning Faculty Advisory Council will provide a permanent avenue for faculty input into distance learning policies and practices as they relate to online curriculum and instruction.
