Health Information Technology by the Numbers

  • 2.5: minimum GPA to be eligible to apply
  • 2: consecutive years to complete our program
  • 25–30: applicants accepted each application period, based on clinic availability
  • 45–55: average number of prospective students who apply each application period
  • $6,252: approximate cost of our program—including books and other program-related costs (see Cost Details below)

Our Mission

To educate and prepare health information technology professionals to serve their community with abilities to create improvements in health and care through access, accuracy, exchange and use of secure patient data.

How Our Program Works

Time Commitment

You can choose:

  • Full-Time: Commit to a full-time schedule for 6 consecutive semesters (2 years)
  • Part-Time: Work though the program on part-time status until you complete the required courses

You must also be able to plan your other coursework around the schedule of core Health Information Technology courses.

Schedule

Program courses are generally held online with virtual evening labs.

Clinicals are offered during daytime hours of the regular work week.

Grades

Successful completion of this program requires a grade of “C” or better in all courses.
