Law Enforcement Academy Program Costs & Dates

As a cadet you have the option to attend the Law Enforcement Academy for college credit or for continuing education.

If you choose the credit route, and you complete the program successfully, you will receive up to 24 hours of college credit. These hours will be applied to an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice.

Credit Tuition Costs

• Tarrant County resident: $1,826 total
  • Initial payment: $1,776 tuition
  • Billed later: $50 CE fee
• Out-of-county: $3,314
• Out-of-state: $7,610

• Continuing Education, certification only: $1,826 total
  • Initial payment: $1,776 tuition
  • Billed later: $50 CE fee

Days & Times

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• 22 weeks (approximate)
• 856 hours

The Basic Peace Officer course is offered only during the daytime.
