Law Enforcement Academy Program Costs & Dates
As a Law Enforcement Academy cadet, you can choose between our credit or continuing education programs. Both options will allow you to take the state licensing exam and become a Texas peace officer.
- Credit: Earn undergraduate credit towards a degree in addition to preparing for the state licensing exam
- Continuing Education: Prepare for the state licensing exam

Costs
Courses are billed separately. Depending on the academic semester's start date, you may be billed for 1–3 courses at a time.
Credit Costs
Earn up to 18 college credit hours to apply towards an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice upon successful program completion.

The Basic Peace Officer course is offered only during the daytime and in-person. This course is not offered online.
