This 12 hour, developmental course, designed for new to college students, provides an overview of skills, resources and strategies needed in the transition to college life.
You will:

Identify educational goals, personal strengths, and areas for growth

Explore college resources and services

Learn strategies for academic success, like time management, goal-setting, study skills, and note-taking
You must take this course before you can begin Integrated Education Training (IET) or Adult Vocational Academy (AVA). Contact our Career Pathway Navigators for more information.
Integrated Education Training (IET)
IET helps you better prepare for specific in-demand jobs. This program combines adult education, literacy, and workforce training.
When you complete the program, you will earn an industry-recognized credential. You will also have a chance to earn stackable credentials within the same career pathway.

Adult Vocational Academy (AVA)
Our AVA helps you improve basic skills, provides job training, and offers the support you need to achieve your goals. You will be able to explore various career industries and college education pathways.
You must have a high school diploma or GED® for these academies.
