Application Timeline

Fall Admission

  • November 1–August 3: Application for fall admission available
  • August 3: Application deadline for fall admission.
    • No late applications accepted.

Follow these steps to apply to Health Information Technology (HIT)

  1. Apply to TCC.
    • Once you are accepted as a student at TCC, you will get a TCC Student ID number. You need a TCC Student ID number for your HIT application.
  2. Attend an Information Session.
  3. Make sure you are eligible to apply to our program.
  4. Get current official transcripts from all colleges and schools you have attended.
    • You will need to submit your official college transcripts to the TCC Registrar.
    • If you have not attended college or if you will have fewer than 12 college semester hours by the application deadline, you will need to submit your official high school transcript(s).
    • International students: Contact International Admissions at least 8 weeks before the application deadline to schedule an appointment if you have international transcripts.
  5. Take 1 of the following exams if English is not your first language:
    • TOEFL iBT® (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language®)
    • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  6. Submit your HIT Application by August 3.
    • Submit by mail or in person your:
      • Signed, complete application
      • Application checklist
      • Immunization records
      • Information Session Certificate of Attendance
