Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) by the numbers

  • 2.5: minimum GPA to be eligible to apply
  • 20: maximum number of applicants accepted each application period
  • 30: semester credit hours (3 semesters)
  • $2,340: approximate cost of this certificate program, including books and uniforms

How our program works


The number of applicants we accept is based upon clinical availability.

Time Commitment

You need to commit to a full-time schedule for 3 semesters (30 credit hours).


Class times:

  • Tuesday: 6–9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9–11:30 a.m.


Clinics are arranged with the program director. Our MRI Program requires a total of 16-24 hours per week depending on the semester.

Our program director will create and coordinate schedules based upon availability.

If you work at a facility that has agreed to host you in the MRI department, confirmation of a current affiliation agreement is required. For more details, please speak with the program director. 


You must earn a minimum grade of “C” (75 percent) to pass. 

You will receive an "F" for any grade earned that is below 75 percent.
