How our program works

Time Commitment

You need to commit to full-time schedule for 2 years (60 credit hours).

Part-time, weekend and distance learning are not available.

Clinical Case Requirement

Surgical rotations are a mandatory component of our program.

You must complete 120 cases—including general, specialty, and endoscopic surgical procedures.

Our surgical technology program is required to verify your progress in the scrub role in surgical procedures that increase in complexity as you move toward entry-level graduate competency.

Program courses, labs and clinics are generally held Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Clinics may start as early as 6 a.m. and possibly include afternoon or evening rotations.

There is little or no time for outside work during program.

Successful completion of this program requires a grade of “C” (75 percent) or better in all courses.

Approximately $5,733, including courses, books, and immunizations

National Certifying Exam: $215

After successfully completing our program, you are eligible to sit for the Certified Surgical Technologist Exam, which is administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
