Water Operator

Quick Program Facts

Program Description

Water operators identify operating deficiencies in water systems, services, and meters. They also protect the public and the environment from contamination.

Water operators work on:

  • Water mains
  • Wells
  • Meters and services
  • Pumps and motors
  • Storage and distribution
  • Disinfection processes

They must monitor these systems frequently.

Water and Wastewater Licensed Operators perform a vital role in maintaining the quality of both the human population and the natural environment.

Our Water/Wastewater Treatment Program is designed to teach you the technical knowledge to competently perform in the water and wastewater utility industry.
