Consortium or Concurrent Enrollment Agreements

A Consortium or Concurrent Enrollment Agreement is a written agreement between two eligible schools. It allows students to take classes at both institutions so they can earn a degree or a certificate.

  • Home school: where the student is enrolled in the degree or certificate program.
  • Host school: where the student is taking additional classes to help fulfill some of the program’s requirements.

The home school will be the primary institution that provides financial aid. The agreement allows the home school to count the hours taken at the host school, to determine the student’s overall financial aid package.

Eligibility Requirements

Check with your home school to make sure you meet these requirements:

  • You must be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at the home school.
  • Courses at the host school must apply toward your home school’s program of study.
  • You must maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the home school.

Submission Deadline

Contact your host school for specific submission deadlines.

If TCC is your host school, you must submit the consortium or concurrent agreement by the deadline for the term in which you plan to enroll. Late submissions will not be accepted.

  • Spring 2026 semester: January 12, 2026
  • Summer 2026 semester: May 18, 2026

Submitting the agreement by the deadline ensures timely processing and aid disbursement before classes begin.

Important Notes

  • You are responsible for submitting the consortium or concurrent enrollment agreement request to the host school early enough, so it can be processed before the home school’s deadline.
  • Financial aid can only be awarded by one institution per term.
  • Developmental and audited courses are not eligible.
  • Notify Tarrant County College (TCC) within 2 business days if your enrollment changes.
