Credit for Military Experience
You are eligible to earn college credit for the valuable training and work you did while on active duty.
How to Request Credit
Air University/CCAF Transcripts
Submit the following documents to the Admissions and Registrar office in person or by email:
- Space Force/Air Force Transcript (Air University/CCAF) (opens in a new tab)
- Other college transcripts
Once we receive your documents, we will award credits for all completed undergraduate coursework with a grade of D or higher.
Joint Services Transcripts (JST)
Submit the following documents to the Admissions and Registrar office in person or by email:
- Joint Service Transcripts (Army, Marine, Navy and Coast Guard) (opens in a new tab)
- A copy of the DD-214. In your email, include your student ID number and the purpose of the DD-214 submission. The copy of the DD-214 must show the following:

- Honorable discharge and 2 years of active duty, or
- Honorable discharge due to medical if less than 2 years of active duty.
After submitting all the documents, meet with a TCC Veterans Counselor or Career Advisor from the Veterans Resource Center for further guidance on the transcript evaluation process.
Transcript Evaluation
Email your request for transcript evaluation to JST.equate@tccd.edu. Please note that the request must come from students, advisors, or counselors.
Next Step
You will receive an email detailing the amount of credit you have been awarded once it has been added to your student record. If you have any questions about your awarded credit, please reach out to a Veterans Counselor or Career Advisor.
