How to Apply to Long Term Care Administration

Application Timeline

• October 1: Application Open
  The committee starts accepting inquiries about program applications and scheduling interviews.

• April 30: Application Closed
  The committee will provide an application link. Complete and submit your application by March 30.

• May 15: Application Status Result
  The committee will review the applications and notify you about your application status by May 15.

Am I eligible to apply?

You must have:

• A completed bachelor’s degree or higher (any degree or field)
• A minimum GPA of 2.5
• Proof of English proficiency if English was not the primary language of your high school

Class Size Limit

We can accept a maximum of 25 candidates for each class.

If you qualify but are not among the first 25 accepted, we will place you on a waiting list if a selected candidate withdraws.

How do I apply to the LTCA program?

Complete the following steps to apply to the LTCA program:

1. Apply to TCC
   • Find out how to apply to TCC
2. Meet with a Health Science Career Advisor
   • Schedule an appointment with a Health Science career advisor.
   • A career advisor will make sure you have all the initial classes needed and that you meet the general requirements to apply for the LTCA program.
3. Submit the LTCA program application
   • Submit the online TCC Health Sciences Application for Admission
   • Application deadline: March 30
4. Request an interview
   • After submitting your program application, contact Dr. Jon Connelly at jon.connelly@tccd.edu to:
     • Request an interview
     • Submit an updated resume for faculty review
5. Attend a faculty interview
   • Applicants will participate in a online interview with a member of the LTCA faculty.
   • Program will send an email to you to schedule interview.
6. Submit a professional writing sample
   • Writing sample instructions will be provided during the interview.
   • The writing sample must be submitted within 1 week of the interview date.
7. Faculty reviews your application
   • Faculty will review the application, resume, interview, and writing samples as part of the admissions process.

Applicants will be contacted regarding their application status by May 15.
