What should I know before I apply?

To participate in dual credit, you must have writing and reading test scores on file, as well as math scores if you plan to take a math class. See below for information on submitting scores.

How do I apply to TCC?

Complete and submit an application for admission.

Apply now with ApplyTCC.

You can apply online with ApplyTCC (use Chrome or Firefox for the best experience), or use ApplyTexas as an alternate online application method.

What's the deadline to apply to TCC?

The admissions application deadline is 7 days before the start of the term. Submit your application at least 7 days before the start of the term.

Your ISD may also set a certain deadline to apply.

When will I know if I'm accepted to TCC?

Check your personal email within 24–48 hours.

You will receive emails about your acceptance, instructions on activating your student email, submitting any supporting documentation, and next steps.

If you applied through ApplyTexas, please allow additional time for processing.

If you do not receive an email with your TCC ID after 24-48 hours, email online.admissions@tccd.edu with your full name and date of birth.

After you've applied for admission and been accepted, you'll need to submit your supporting documents.

Provide the following documents only if applicable:

• Official test scores (determines TSI exemption)
• Official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities you previously attended
• Evidence of Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination (if new to TCC, under 22 years old, and taking face-to-face courses on a TCC campus)

You must take the PAA before you take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment.

The PAA includes:

• The importance of the TSI Assessment
• Practice test questions and feedback
• Campus and community resources to achieve success as a college student
• Development education options

Your coordinator of educational partnerships will let you know which tests you're required to complete before registering for classes.

Common test requirements include, but are not limited to:

• TSI Assessment
• Online Readiness Assessment

High School Students

Learn how to get started registering for dual credit classes.

If your school is not listed in our dual credit service areas, contact the coordinator of educational partnerships at your nearest campus for dual credit registration help.

Home School Students

To complete your enrollment and register for classes, make an appointment with both a:

• Coordinator of Educational Partnerships, and
• Advisor.

For your meeting, fill in the top portion of the High School Early Enrollment Form (PDF)Listen and stop before getting to the courses to be taken section. That portion will be filled out with your home school parent/dual credit designee.

Also be prepared to talk about:

• Class options and scheduling
• Course load
• College course expectations
