Financial Aid FAQs

Financial aid disbursements are calculated based on your TCC eligible active academic program and enrollment level for the semester. Federal regulations require TCC students to be in an eligible TCC academic program to receive financial aid.

What TCC programs are eligible for financial aid?

You must declare a degree/certificate program to be eligible for financial aid.

Eligible programs include:

Exceptions

Recently approved certificate programs may be ineligible until TCC receives federal approval.

Why do I need to declare a degree program?

Financial aid is only available for students who are pursuing a degree program and/or eligible certificate program at TCC.

Your declared degree program should:

  • Be current, with a catalog year no older than four years old,
    and
  • Have an anticipated completion date within the next two years.

Contact Student Financial Aid Services before making a degree program update, as changes can impact your current financial aid.
