Prepare for What You Will Do at Work

  • Collect various types of data about energy systems
  • Solar photovoltaic installers:
    • Assemble, set up & maintain systems that convert sunlight into energy
    • Plan and/or install solar photovoltaic systems based on system requirements
  • Wind turbine service technicians:
    • Install, maintain, and repair systems that convert wind into energy
    • Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot wind systems

Before You Enroll, Think About:

For Our Program

  • You must earn college-ready scores on the TSI math section and be ready to start on the Algebraic Math Pathway.
  • You must satisfy all pre-requisite electronic courses before you can take the advanced energy courses.

Once on the Job

  • Once you earn your A.A.S. degree in Advanced Energy Technician, you will be prepared to start your career in the field of renewable energy.
  • You will be working with outside and may have to travel to different locations.
  • You will have to learn to use a variety of electrical tools and measuring systems.
